Rubey Brief October 2025

About the launch of HERstory at KMSKA and our 2025 funds Echoes for the Future and Autoworld Icons, Rubey connects capital and culture to preserve and share art with the public.

Autumn 2025 marks a milestone for Rubey. On October 13, we hosted the private launch of HERstory at the Royal Museum of Fine Arts Antwerp (KMSKA). This event marked the official opening of the subscription period for the HERstory Fund, allowing investors to participate in a project that connects capital and culture with purpose.

The challenge is clear.

Across Europe, museums are facing shrinking acquisition budgets while the need to diversify collections is greater than ever. Recent reports show how this pressure is felt across the sector, from European museums struggling with reduced public funding to Dutch institutions like the Van Gogh Museum warning that government support cuts threaten their future.

At KMSKA, less than one percent of the collection consists of works by female artists, and the museum currently has no acquisition budget at all. With HERstory, Rubey and KMSKA are working together to address this imbalance by creating a sustainable funding model for cultural enrichment.

The solution is HERstory.

Through this new private investment fund, Rubey will acquire classical artworks by both Belgian and international female artists, among others Marthe Donas, Clara Peeters, Georgia O’Keeffe and Louise Bourgeois. These works will be loaned to KMSKA for long-term public display, fully insured and freely accessible. This way, investors can help rebalance art history while contributing to a visible and lasting cultural legacy.

The third and final launch of 2025.

HERstory completes Rubey’s series of three fund launches this year, following Echoes for the Future (digital art) and Autoworld Icons (collectible cars). With all three pillars of Rubey’s investment categories now active, the coming months will be fully dedicated to fundraising and investor onboarding.

If you are interested in investing in one of Rubey’s funds, we would be delighted to provide more information. Contact us directly at maarten@rubey.be.

Looking ahead.

A new Rubey website will be launched soon, bringing together all projects, investors and updates in one clear and intuitive platform. The new site will also speak directly to Rubey’s three key audiences: art owners, museum partners and art investors, each with tailored information on how to collaborate, participate and invest. We look forward to sharing it with you.

Thank you to everyone who joined us on October 13 in Antwerp. Together, we are turning history into HERstory.

Kind regards,
